Winter
            Gold out of gold
            along alchemical contours
            beneath the compass
            a few degrees off human.
            dna  words as beacon
            across the deep articulation
            of dwarfed graffiti
            outside fucktown.
            An aspirant crossing the lake of fire;
            a geologist
            in a flickering fern enclosure
            an angular altar;
            a fat branch
            beyond
            the narrow Christ.
